This week, a group of representatives of the Argentine Lawyers Association of New York met in New York with Mr. Alberto F. Garay, newly elected President of the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires City Bar). Discussions focused on the status of the Argentine judiciary and the legal profession, as well as ideas regarding joint initiatives, including research projects and academic events, which both entities can co-sponsor.
The tie between our association and the Buenos Aires City Bar began in 2018, when both entities entered into an agreement with a view of facilitating a fluent interaction between lawyers practicing in Argentina and in the U.S. This relationship led to successful joint events and other forms of collaboration. We trust that relationships like this will help us expand our outreach and benefit all our members.
